Frank Kempsmith founded Kempsmith Machine Company in 1888 and manufactured the Kempsmith milling machines as well as building machines for other manufacturers. The milling machines were so well built, Kempsmith became the leader in this industry and Frank’s knowledge and expertise was so respected and influential that his references were used in the machinist’s handbook and his milling machines were used on our Nations battleships.
Since 1888, Kempsmith has always been a contract machining house and machine builder for many companies in Milwaukee and around the world.
Now in our 2nd century, like the craftsmen who came before us, we continue to hone our craft of the highest quality in machining, welding and assembly, being known as the most reliable supplier for parts and service around the world. We are experts in manufacturing and strive for perfection.
Based in Milwaukee, once known as the machine shop of the world, we work from our 25,000 sq ft shop.
Kempsmith has large vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as turning, grinding and ancillary equipment to accommodate any project. In addition, we have the ability to weld large and complex parts. To ensure we are meeting your standards, we inspect all parts before they leave our facility. Our quality team uses their expertise to do incoming, in process and final inspection
